One lucky baby...

My very good friend Morgan and her partner recently welcomed the cutest bundle of cuteness in to their world! He came a little earlier than planned, so i was behind on my half of the deal! I eventually got finished and  sent off the blanket!

Rain and magic...

Rain Rain don't go away, please come back another day!

Recent Update

So for the last 3 days i've been without internet. I've had nothing. Ok I had a smidge of it on my phone but that just threw out my texts so after that happened I just went cold turkey. In the three days I've dedicted myself to my new project. My friend in the states lets call her M - ;) - is having a little baby so I'm making his blanket. I did start doing a Popcorn/Bobble crochet stitch but that started to look like a triangle so i scrapped it! It's cream and mint green and is getting huge quickly! :D

Shoes!

Now anyone who knows me will know that I never get excited about shoes. They will also tell you that I have never worn heals in my entire life -Unless you count the one inch heal that is on my boots. Im not generally safe in heals, i'm not safe in flats either so I was a a teeny bit worried about my neck in wedges for a recent party. I wanted these the moment I saw them in an email from Evans a while back, but decided that they were just too high so I bought a differnet pair.

To cut a long story short the pair i bought were too high and simply dangerous, so i bought the ones I wanted in the first place. After spending 40 minutes in the shop with the help of my best friend and three wedges later I bought these! I wore them in for a week to make sure I was safe enough to wear them.

They stayed on for 4 hours and were off for 20 minutes before going back on for more dancing! I did tarmac, brick, wooden floor, steps, slate, concreat, wet grass and even managed to go backwards!
Can you tell that i'm proud with myself? :)

London Aquarium

So for my birthday this year we went to the London Aquarium. It is defiantly worth it! The fish are amazing and the penguins -If you can get close enough to get a look- are the high light -for me anyway- The suspended shark walk wasn't that scary, I got more scared walking over the glass floor in Oriental Delights in Chinatown :D but it was defiantly a good day!

First Ever Sock Monster

This is Qing, also known as Lord Qing, Sir Qinglett and Qinglett. He was the very first thing i made using socks and he turned out pretty well. He's over a year old now and is well loved. His eyes are loose along with his left arm :D

Blossom

This was a post I tried to post back in the spring time, but for some reason it wouldn't upload. So lets try again :)

So with spring being in full swing i thought it would be a good idea to pick the blog back up again. A lot has been going on with me lately and i'm currently on easter break -which is so good!- The blossom has been out over the past few weeks and the smell has been amazing with the different kinds of blossom around here -Apple, Pear and Cherry- Sadly tho most of them have turned to leaves but i managed to capture them before they turned to snow.

Farewell Pen Pouch

Since March I've been on placement in a primary school. I'm in a year two class which is made up of 30 6&7 year old boys and girls. I must say that they've been the best class I've ever worked with! We had a PGCE student with us for a while, she was lovely and really got on well with me and the kids. One problem with her was that she kept losing her pens. Red pens, black pens, blue pens, it didn't matter what she did or where she put them she would never find them again when needed. So as he leaving gift i made her this. It took forever to get right and was a right pain in the neck but she loved it, she couldn't believe that i had made it.
